      Sr. Project Manager Interview

      Apr 13, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Singapore
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Databricks (Singapore) in Feb 2026

      Interview

Sr Project Manager based in Singapore. (3+ months of process) A lengthy and demanding process. In total, 6 interviews of approximately one hour each, which were genuinely high quality: the conversations were substantive and the people I met were particularly attentive and receptive. At the end of each stage, I received an email from the HR team inviting me to share my feedback and confirming my progression to the next step. Unfortunately, after the final interview, all communication stopped — no email, no phone call — despite three follow-up attempts on my part. I find this lack of response quite unprofessional, especially given that candidates invest real effort in this kind of process: they prepare, reorganise their schedules, and dedicate several hours of their time to see it through. The bare minimum would be a message — whether positive or negative — along with some feedback or explanation from the recruitment team. I am all the more disappointed as I was genuinely interested in the role, which appeared to be a strong match for my profile based on the various interviews conducted. A process that clearly needs revisiting.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Databricks (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2025

      Interview

I made it all the way to the final round. Lots of back channeling, inconsistent training and lines of questioning from senior-level members of the panel. In general, they say they want high performers and it is super competitive but it’s quite apparent they only want people from the same background or lineage as them (Seattle large-cap tech). Not open to different ways of thinking and use “lack of applicable experience” as general feedback when in reality they could have determined that at the recruiter screen. The take home was basically free work as it was apparently poorly written with lots of issues on the technical side.

      Senior Product Manager Interview

      Feb 25, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Seattle, WA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2021

      Interview

Recruiter reached out to me and the interview process was fairly relaxed. No one specific day was scheduled for a full set of interviews as usual with other tech companies. Effectively each interview was a gate for the next interview and they were scheduled when time allowed. This did drag out the process a bit but I didn't mind as I was not actively looking at the time. Questions were more related to my existing feature efforts and how I approached and handled certain situations rather than pure product sense questions. Experience in the domain and approach were their biggest priorities. In addition to the interview, they will also ask you to go through a data science exercise using Databricks and ask you for some writing samples. After that entire process, they will ask you to do a presentation to evaluation your presentation and communication capabilities.
