The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Databricks (London, England)
Interview
Databricks interview process is screwed up big time. It's necessary that they get their act together as many unpleasant interaction would only lead to tarnish their reputation as a company. I was contacted by APAC region head for Solutions Architect role and after a brief discussion was told that I would be given a coding assignment to solve. I kept following up and never got a response from them. Many weeks later someone woke up and sent it. I sent my code and again waited for weeks and kept on getting the response that they haven't graded the coding assignment. And then one fine day they said they are not proceeding with it. I mean it was a complete waste of time and energy. Wouldn't recommend anyone.
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial call. My background and experience were not aligned with the role, so we did not proceed to the next round.
Unfortunately, the interview experience was not very positive. The recruiter was late to the scheduled call, and the communication style felt somewhat one-sided and pushy rather than collaborative. I would have appreciated a more balanced and respectful conversation.
Multiple rounds of interview , take home assessment was not very tough . But panel presentation round was tough , it seems they want candidate who can wow them even though all rounds went fine .
I go the first phone call which went pretty well. Then I passed a first panel round on simple architecture. Did first round technical round, but never heard back again.
