I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (Bengaluru) in Sep 2023
Interview
Interview Process:- Hiring Manager discussion followed by 2 technical rounds and then discussion with project manager, take-home assignment, and AVP. Overall Feedback:- Expected some transparency and professionalism from HR. If you are not interested then why wasted my time? Cleared all 6 rounds and after that HR came up with a weird response that my experience and skills didn't align with the position for which I was interviewed and they could offer me a position for which the compensation is much less than my current pay. Please stop giving senseless reasons for rejecting. I would advise candidates to think twice before giving the interview. Don't be surprised if you get rejected even after performing really well.

Question 1
Spark and Databricks Internals. Streaming Internals. Take Home assessment related to Spark optimization, SQL, Code refactoring, and Spark MLLib.
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial call. My background and experience were not aligned with the role, so we did not proceed to the next round.
Unfortunately, the interview experience was not very positive. The recruiter was late to the scheduled call, and the communication style felt somewhat one-sided and pushy rather than collaborative. I would have appreciated a more balanced and respectful conversation.
Multiple rounds of interview , take home assessment was not very tough . But panel presentation round was tough , it seems they want candidate who can wow them even though all rounds went fine .
I go the first phone call which went pretty well. Then I passed a first panel round on simple architecture. Did first round technical round, but never heard back again.
