I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Databricks in Feb 2025
Interview
The interviewer was quick a direct. They had a set of questions to filter out candidates. They are seeking relevant experience and are clear on the expectations on the the role. They also explained the metrics I would be evaluated on. They asked salary expectation early, they said that the base I was asking for was too high which was 5-10% higher than their upper range they mentioned. The energy of the interviewer was low energy and didn't seem like they didn't want to be there from the begining. It seemed like they was tired of their job but still had to get their job done.

I applied online. I interviewed at Databricks (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2026
Interview
I first connected with a recruiter who informed they liked me and were going to move forward with booking the second interview by the end of the screening call. The documentation and prep materials they share with you are quite robust and the first round interview was a lot of skills based get to know you questions.
The interviews will cover cultural fit, product understanding, and the STAR method, starting with HR, followed by the hiring manager, a cold-calling simulation, and ending with a sales team panel.

Interview
The process took several rounds, beginning with a recruiter phone screen which is later followed by time with the Hiring Manager. They move quickly and are respectful of your time. Very smart team.
