I applied through college or university. I interviewed at DayBlink Consulting in Mar 2017
Interview
There are four interview rounds. The first is a phone screening, followed by a behavioral interview. The next round contains a case study and logic question. Lastly, they have a final round for any questions you may have, and to further evaluate your fit in the company.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at DayBlink Consulting (McLean, VA) in Dec 2020
Interview
Interview process is two parts executive presentation and behavioral interview. The executive presentation is supposed to be like a case interview, but it’s not. It’s really tedious tasks with putting a PowerPoint together. Weren’t many case questions at all. There is a math question. They give you 1.5 hrs to research a topic, create content for the 9-12 slide presentation, build out the deck and practice. I’m more technical so this wasn’t a good way to assess my skills. If you can build out a deck quickly then you’ll probably do fine. Give yourself enough time to build out the deck cause again what’s requested is tedious. The behavioral interview is pretty standard and straightforward.
Things to note: this is a small firm with small firm problems. Things like being able to help put a deck together last minute matter to them. While they seem like they have good culture, they repeatedly said they work long hours (10+ hour days). They want to hire people to help grow the business so they expect you to help out with anything that needs it. If you’re a minority, they don’t have a strategy for diversity and inclusion. It is not a priority for them. They also think having a minority CEO makes them diverse, but it doesn’t. You can look on their site and see !
