I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Deepend (Sydney) in Oct 2017
Interview
1. First round - interview with technical director and HR manager.
2. Second round - technical test to build one page application featuring Deepend tech team.
3. Third round - present and discuss the technical test, meet the team, see the office.
Upon the completion of these stages I was told that I was successful and they were getting the contract ready for me. The contract never arrived and few weeks later I received an email with the following:
Quote:
"We do believe you would be a great addition to the team, you have done extremely well during the recruitment process and you are a very strong candidate but we won’t be able to offer anytime soon, and we are unsure when this can happen, since we are dependent on closing some projects.
I’m afraid that early next year we might have more clarity.
I’m afraid that being that we don’t have this vacancy available yet, you might be wanting to accept the other offer? I still hope we can work together anytime soon.
Please stay in touch and let us know how you are going. I will call you again as soon as we have an opportunity and I hope you are available and interested then."

Question 1
Tell about your career, your duties at your last job.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Deepend (Melbourne) in Mar 2016
Interview
Deepend is a fantastic digital agency with an amazing CEO and group of people. They do great work and value quality and craftsmanship highly.
During the interview process I asked to meet the team and suggested that the team themselves interviewed me. This provided a good insight into the team challenges and personal motivations of the staff. It was also great to meet them directly because they're all very talented and passionate about Deepend with huge potential. As a company they're very progressive, flexible and ambitious. They value people and their careers very highly, perhaps at the expensive of commercial objectives. The CEO is intimately involved with the staff and invests into their lives directly. Many of the team I interviewed commented on how much she had influenced them, believed in them and supports them.
I really the interview process and was very very hard to consider anywhere else.
