Denton House Design Studio interview questions

First I interviewed by phone with a member of the Design Team that asked me about my background and explained a little about the company. Then I was asked to go to the office to meet with the same person and another coworker. They were nice and showed a lot of interest in my expertise and portfolio. I was given an assessment to prove my drawing skills. Finally, I went to their office again to meet with two more members of the team I would be part of. They went deeper into details about my work and how I would contribute to the group. At times they were harsh but also sounded very honest, which I appreciated. Right after and that same day, I met with one of the Directors for 10 min (who was more than an hour late and didn't seem very focused on our conversation). Without ever meeting with an HR representative or discussing salary expectations, etc., I received the offer the following day.

Contacted by email from someone in HR to come in for interview. During the interview, the questions being asked were very superficial and the main thing that kept coming up was how "great" their office is. I was given a tour and the office is nice, but there are many other design offices that are just as nice or nicer. Very little questioning that went into my design background and overall skill level. It was mostly about the firm talking about how they have a fun office. I got the sense that they cared much less about me, what I can bring and how the firm can help advance my career, and more about the image they try to represent. When I spoke to people who currently work there and who have interviewed there before my interview, I was warned of the lack of effort taken in mentoring and coaching the staff. I felt very much like the firm was only concerned about themselves and their image.
