Distinction Dev interview questions

I went through a total of 2 rounds, followed by an HR round, and finally a formality technical round. After clearing all the stages — including the HR discussion where we talked about leave policy, perks, and other benefits — I was told: "Congratulations, you are selected!" However, things quickly took a surprising turn. The HR asked if I could join starting today itself or start part-time and what not which was not mentioned before. I politely requested a couple of hours to prepare, to which he initially agreed. But shortly after, I received a follow-up message stating that the position had been closed. This was quite unexpected, especially after being officially informed that I was selected. Final Thoughts: While I understand that hiring decisions can change due to internal reasons, this experience raises concerns about the professionalism and clarity in communication during the hiring process.
