Unfortunately we have been forced to implement the questionnaire for our roles, due to people claiming to have experience that they simply do not have.
The recruitment AND employment is 100% remote, with no direct supervision. We do not record staff members screens etc.
This line of questioning, when we often have over 50 applicants per job, really helps us to understand the skill level of the applicant, not just their perceived skill level. The questions are quite basic, so if people struggling to follow these simple instructions, how can they successfully work without being micromanaged?
Unfortunately, we are a very small business and we want to ensure we look at every application.
Our team, whilst recruiting are also managing their client work load and other business tasks. Unlike a large organisation, we do not have a stand alone recruitment team.
If we are then juggling staff absence, this then adds to the challenge.
We do not currently use any ai to screen, so we literally read every application.
We also will have people register to work with us, I don't know if you registered, or if you applied for a role specifically. It's difficult to know why the process was as long as you claim whilst anonymous...
But we are a very small business, with many team members juggling chronic illnesss. We also all work part time.
If you want a slicker process, without someone taking the time to read every bit of what you submit, perhaps a larger organisation with its own recruitment team, is a better fit?...
We do the best we can and always try our best, but sometimes, there are delays, and whilst in a perfect world there wouldn't be, this is no perfect world...
