I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Dropbox (College Park, MD) in Feb 2020
Interview
Recruiters and Engineers on sight were very helpful and personable. Didn't seem like they did not care about your success. Talked about the culture and what Dropbox had to offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1st round was hackerrank, 2nd round was about a bubble machine
Did an online screen, had a quick chat with a recruiter, then had a 2-interview final round. I was rejected with nearly no feedback, possibly because I was a sophomore.
Received an CodeSignal OA after passing the resume screen. Implementing functions of a class with increasing difficulty over 4 levels building upon previous functions and changing their implementation. Did not pass the OA.
The Dropbox interview process typically involves an initial recruiter call, followed by a technical phone screen covering coding challenges. Successful candidates proceed to an on-site or virtual interview with multiple rounds, including system design, coding exercises, and behavioral assessments. The process evaluates problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and cultural fit, usually taking a few weeks to complete.
