Straightforward, asking me to style for an imaginary customer which was a fun idea if a little overwhelming as a 16 year old - but understand why they do this! Friendly interviewer.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at EAST (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2021
Interview
So, when I first received the email with the job offer for East as a Communications and Public Affairs Manager it arrived in the spam folder marked as a potential scam. I went on this website, saw the four star reviews, and applied anyway. And boy was that a mistake!
This company is blatantly a scam. The moment I got on the employer started interviewing me for a job that did not match the job listing. He claimed I would be able to "work up" and get the job. But that is not the experience that was advertised and that is not the experience I was hoping to sign up for. Everything that is spelled out in the more negative reviews on this site is 100% true. They are commission based and dangle a salary in your face at first so you don't automatically run away. They will want you to run around all day with no compensation. And they continuously lie and manipulate, they know exactly what their doing and change it at any time.
(The interview questions are also blatantly placeholders. They're not really looking for someone with certain morals, they will take anyone and just need a body to fulfill a slot. Hence the reason they're "so in demand" but they are quick to hire and have a very fast paced interview process.)
During the second interview I had a very wishy-washy individual claim he couldn't tell me anything about pay and yet in a chart of how one can supposedly move up in the company it has the pay listed on the side. Basically they're trying to set you up by thinking youll get paid $500 a week going up until you hit a promotion and get paid more in the thousands. But that's just to keep you holding on until your "hired" and then they switch up on you.
They also try to get employees to leave "just positive enough" reviews for it to seem legit. And they also add fake interview reviews to try to pick up the slack. This place is just not right and I hope they shut down.
The moral of the story here, DON'T APPLY TO ANY PLACE THAT'S TRYING TO "SELL" YOU A JOB.
