    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5+ weeks. I interviewed at EIHAB Human Services (Springfield Gardens, NY) in July 2014.

    Interview

I had two interviews and was offered the position, which I now regret accepting. I was hired and not asked too many questions outside the norm. Basic interview questions about your past jobs, why you left, if you could return to former jobs.

    Interview Questions

    • I was asked if there were any reasons that I might not be able to perform my job duties.   Answer Question
    • I was asked about my specific duties at my previous jobs and my driving record with them.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

They made me a flat offer. I didn't have much negotiating power because I was fresh out of college and only had a year and a half experience as a DCC. I accepted the offer but the job required more work than the money was worth.

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at EIHAB Human Services (Springfield Gardens, NY) in December 2010.

    Interview

At the time I had two interviews (one with the dept. head and one with my supervisor), needed to bring basic photo id, social security and have two-five references. The people who I had my interviews with were both friends of the family so I lucked out. You don't need to have experience but you have to love kids and be very organized and diligent because the work isn't always easy but you will enjoy

    Interview Questions

    • Honestly I wasn't asked any super difficult questions....just be honest in your answers because if you lie a bit they WILL check out everything you say.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

$20.oo/hr + I could basically make up my own schedule because I was in the field is completely awesome to a 20 yr. old college student.
