Interviewed with Earnin a while ago. I was asked a leetcode type linked list problem and I ace'd it. Even the interviewer said the recruiter would reach out after my first round. It's been a month and recruiter has been ghosting me. Terrible interview process in that respect. I'd have atleast loved a feedback after my first round.

Technical interview after hr call. It was a 45 minutes interview with SQL questions. Video call, coderpad. Need to run the results. The interviewer will provide you with hints. The questions are not hard but you need to ask clarification questions or the answers will not be right. The interviewer will ask you and you have the chance to change it.

Anonymous Employee in Bangkok
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at EarnIn (Bangkok) in Feb 2023
I interviewed for a QA engineer position in Bangkok, Thailand. The interview process consisted of two online rounds. The first round was about work experience and behavioral questions, which went well. Then I was asked to complete an assignment on writing automation tests for a part of their web application with Playwright automation tool, which I completed within a week. In the technical interview, I was able to explain my code and suggest improvements. However, after the final interview it took Earnin a long time (around 2 months) to make an offer for me, due to the fact that it was their first time hiring an expat in Thailand.

I applied online. I interviewed at EarnIn (New York, NY) in Dec 2022
Recruiter called and seemed very enthusiastic about me. True to her word, I was quickly scheduled for an interterview with the hiring manager. Day of the interview with the hiring manager, she begins the conversation with, 'I don't think this will take very long.' At which point she proceeds to disinterestedly (or tiredly, take your pick) tell me a bit about the job. I barely got to ask a few questions. Overall I was left with the impression I was some filler conversation to say they interviewed XYZ, not actually someone that was ever a seriously under consideration. Very disappointing.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at EarnIn in Nov 2022
I went through three parts of the interview process; recruiter call, hiring manager call, and case study. During the case study, I was scheduled to present when (day of presentation) it was canceled due to the company moving forward with hiring another candidate during the hiring process. I was initially excited to communicate with each member of the staff and the company’s mission but this abrupt decision was very disappointed to be asked to solve a hypothetical problem and present worked case studies and then get cut after prepping the deck before presenting it. For the record the presentation was scheduled for two weeks before the interview(presentation) was canceled two hours before scheduled with leadership.

The interview process was not as involved or difficult as other tech companies. I went through a portfolio review and was asked questions about how I arrived at my decisions, how I used research to deliver designs, etc.
- How does user research influence the direction of your designs?

Solid, very friendly interviewer for the initial phone screen. Great job explaining the company and position. Will be looking forward the the next rounds of interviews. Will be meeting with hiring manager and hopefully getting to an on-site.

Smooth interview process, I very much felt that my time was valued in way of scheduling. Had a phone screen with a recruiter, spoke with a senior member in the organization then was cleared for a panel interview and one final interview with leadership. Employees seemed sincere and excited. My recruiter also offered a prep call that I thought was incredibly helpful to give me a pretty good idea as far as expectations. I declined the offer as the position interviewed for is absolutely FIRM on being on office and salary expectations but would greatly consider working at Earnin if I was already in the Bay Area as there’s a lot of potential here!

I applied online. I interviewed at EarnIn (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2022
I applied online and got an OA two weeks later. Then received a phone call from recruiter. After was a one hour technical interview with an engineer. The guy was cool, I enjoyed the interview. I completed the interview with best time complexity and best space complexity as well. After that, I never heard back even after emails to follow up. I wanted to send another email but, I don’t think I want to work for a company that treats me like that when I am not even hired.
- Coding question on DSA and time complexity. I got a question on string manipulation.
