I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Eaton (Galesburg, MI) in May 2012
Interview
I have had tow interviews with the company so far and would overall rate it a positive experience. I do think the process is way more involved than it should be and way too long but it seems, from my experience, most of the larger companies tend to take this approach. There is an initial screening call (5 min), then a phone interview (30 min or so), then on the interview day I had to give a 10 min presentation and was interviewed by 7 people, 3 groups of 2 and 1 one on one interview (5-6 hrs depending on lunch). The process is very exhausting especially considering both positions I applied for were entry level. I did not receive an offer for either regardless of my having a MSME and a lot more experience (4+ yrs intership, research and administrative, 7+ years working) than most recent college grads. All of the Eaton work force I met were really nice accept for one guy and most were personable.
Everything is smooth, nice, and good. I also learned a lot from the interview and enjoyed it. The interview isn't too long, it's of an average length. The questions that were been asked during the interview were also interesting.
Technical , Managerial and HR total three rounds to clear the interview process. If first round is clear you are asked for second round. mostly they ask all about your resume what you have written and current company work what ever you do.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They mostly ask about things in your resume and ask to explain in detail
Easy - ac and interview. Ac consisted of three challenges, and they looked for communication, involving others and taking leadership. The interview process was done by a senior engineer and hr staff member. Questions on competency as well as why I want the job offer.
