Two informal conversations with members of the team, then a four hour on-site. People seemed super nice. At the end of the on-site I was told that they thought I was a cultural fit and things were basically all systems go, pending the work they had coming in the door. (Since it is an agency this makes perfect sense.)
But after the on-site they started contacting people from my linkedin account. Not just one or two people, more like reaching out to a dozen or more. My contacts started reaching out to me to ask who they were and what the story was. It was creepy and I told Echouser I didn't want to work there if this is how they were going to operate. The whole experience turned out to be ONE OF THE MOST NEGATIVE JOB APPLICATION EXPERIENCES I'VE EVER HAD.
