Interview
The interview process involved an initial discussion with the HR recruiter, followed by two technical interviews. If those went well, there was an additional round consisting of two managerial interviews. The recruiter was very kind and provided plenty of information about the role and the company. However, I found the first technical interview a bit unusual. The engineer conducting it seemed somewhat unprepared with the questions he asked, which felt rather superficial. In contrast, the second technical interview with another engineer was much better. He was both kind and well-prepared.
Thank you so much for your review of our interview process. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and are delighted to hear that you had a good experience. Your feedback truly motivates us to continue providing an exceptional candidate experience.
Interview
The interview process started off great. Zoom session with someone from the recruiting team and then it was followed up with an interview with two principal software engineers. The coding interview was fun, it was basically an html file that had broken tests that you had to fix. It was testing JS skills. That went ok? I don’t know. I was able to finish and get all the tests passing.
I followed up about a week later and no response. I think that’s a no. I wish they would just let me know, instead of just waiting. I read all the reviews online and was skeptical about a company not really following up with candidates (especially since my first zoom session was awesome, and I really liked the elastic recruiter). In that first interview I made sure to ask how long after the second interview would I get a yay/nay and he said two-three days. That was a lie.
