I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Elsevier (Cambridge, MA) in Mar 2015
Interview
Applied online and got a phone screening with the HR rep. After that I had a phone interview with the manager for the position, she worked in a non-local office. During the interview I was informed that the position was going to start out in the Waltham office and then eventually be transferred to the advertised Cambridge office.
The HR rep followed up with me after the phone screening with the manager. She asked for availability within a specific time frame for when the manager was going to be in town. I sent a "thank you" email with a few follow up questions about the potential interview and then I never heard back from them.
Please have the courtesy to send at least a generic, automated rejection, it is literally the least you can do.
Thank you for your review. We have made improvements to our recruitment process as we continue to strengthen our candidate experience. We hope this will not stop you from applying to another role at Elsevier.

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Elsevier (Saint Louis, MO) in May 2016
Interview
I applied for the position in January, and I was given a phone interview by someone from the New York office, and then two followup in person interviews in May. The process was long and tedious, but the company is worth it.
