Enbridge Network Design Architect interview questions

I applied through recruiter. after submitting my resume I got face to face interview. I meet a panel of 3. it was very clear that none have technical experience in the field. that was the whole reason they need someone from outside the company who posses such experience. It was friendly interview nothing deep technical . I got feedback 1 day later that they decided to go with internal candidate. I would appreciate if they could make their mind before dragging people for interview for no reason.
