I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Encamp
Interview
I received a cold message on LinkedIn by a recruiter for the company saying they thought I'd be a great fit. Resume was shared and interview time set up. Had a pleasant introductory screening interview that ended with them talking about the next steps. Two days later received a impersonal form rejection email. I thought that was rude since they initiated this entire process.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Encamp (Indianapolis, IN)
Interview
5 sections. An HR interview, a Manager interview, an online competency test, an online live coding test, and a talk with the CTO. I received great feedback the entire time, then I was told during the offer period that they found 2 more senior people than me.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Encamp (Washington, DC) in Jun 2025
Interview
Process included 4 steps, a call with their internal recruiter, a conversation with the VP of engineering, a 2 hour long technical interview, and a redundant conversation with the CTO.
They're going to tell you they're looking for someone "humble, hungry, and smart." Don't buy it, just make sure you've memorized the Mozilla's JavaScript developer docs and the Postgres documentation.
If you didn't like the number of years of experience you see on someone's resume, don't waste people's time with 4 rounds of interviews. No wonder they haven't found someone to fill this position in 4 months.
