I had a pre-screen call with HR and then an interview with the hiring team a couple of days after.
I should have seen the red flags as the hiring manager didn't show and the interviewer asked 5 very basic competency questions which I didn't feel were appropriate for this level. (Having been an interviewer myself, I know the drill).
When my chance came to ask questions, they were relevant and pertinent. It was going well and she confirmed to me that I would be a terrific fit as our values alligned. At 45 minutes in, the interviewer abruptly told me that she had to go on another call and without setting expectations with the bect steps, she ended the call.
Not a good impression, very unprofessional and a little rude.
