Everon interview questions

Applied to job through ADT Commercial, now Everon. The job was at their Indianapolis/Fishers location. An interview was setup with the VP of Software Engineering acting as the hiring manager. Everon had recently acquired DigiOp and this job was through that DigiOp office. They were now expanding their software development team. The interview went great and I was excited for the role. The job was perfect for me as I had previously worked in front end development in Angular and I was local. All of which items they were looking for. The hiring manager said I'd hear about a follow up interview. I waited about three weeks and finally an interview happened. The interview was to be with the VP of Software Engineering as well as a recent software engineer hire who I would likely be working with. However, on the interview, which they rescheled to a following week, was only with the VP of Software Engineering once again, We further talked about the position. It was clear that I knew more about Angular development technologies than the VP and he asked me some questions to learn about things I knew. The VP said he would set up a informal follow up call with a recent engineering hire who had missed this call. Additionally they said there would be a background check which I said would be completely fine. I never heard back and inquired with the recruiter, I received a automated message at 5pm on a Friday that I was no longer being considered for the position with no reason. I inquired further, the recruiter said they had never heard anything from the VP/Hiring Manager. So, ultimately the VP of Software Engineering at Everon ghosted me and their own recruiter. Very professional experience.
