I was contacted by a recruiter to discuss my qualifications and interest in the position. I was later contacted by the HR Director to schedule an interview with two of the Principals.
The day of the interview I was met by the HR Director and escorted upstairs to a small conference room. My portfolio was already visible on the screen. I then met with both the Interiors Principal and Architecture Principal to review my portfolio and discuss the position and my qualifications. It is a unique position and they took time to explain the responsibilities and requirements in great detail. The interview lasted a little over an hour. The HR director returned to see me out. She also followed up the following week to answer any additional questions and schedule a second interview. The second interview was with two associates that I would be working with on a more regular basis. This allowed me to ask more detailed questions and get a better sense of what it is like to work at Fox Architects. The second interview was really more of a conversation with peers and was extremely helpful in making the decision to accept the position. The HR Director contacted me that day with an offer and continued to answer my questions concerning benefits, policies, etc. over the following week.
The entire experience was very positive and took approximately two and a half weeks.
