Fermilab Applications Development & Systems Analyst interview questions

The phone interview lasted about 30 minutes and was with the hiring manager and another individual. The questions were general in nature as they were seeking to understand my background with basic linux questions in regards to development. I was asked about a copy of commands that I don't frequently use and another that I do use frequently. The other questions were about how I solved a problem from my background and how I would troubleshoot a distributed system. My phone interview was at the end of a hectic day and would suggest to anyone not to schedule such an interview at that time. Also, I was not in the best location for a phone interview. I would suggest that you are in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
