I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at FirstService Residential (West Palm Beach, FL) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was referred to the local office HR by a company employee, who in turn referred to me the head of HR. Before coming for the interview, I took a personality test. From the first email through the interview, I was impressed with the sincere openness, and authenticity of the interviewer. Before the interview I took an excel and word assessment in the office. This was the first interview, lasting an hour. I was told there are 2-3 positions open to me, I was told to expect a phone call from the on-site managers for an interview. The open positions are part-time front desk (customer service rep), part-time administrative assistant and full-time administrative assistant. I just found out from HR that the position was filled internally. I was told absolutely to keep applying for a position that interests me
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why changing from real estate sales to management? Questions about multi-tasking, dealing with people who need answers immediately and how handled such situations. Would I be interested if in the near future that an administrative assistant position opened up? Education, level of proficiency with office suite. Why left previous positions
Attitude at work, getting along with staff and what kind of mood I am in during work
I completed their full interview process — screening followed by what was supposed to be an in-person interview with the director. However, when I arrived, the interview was actually conducted by two managers instead, and this change was never communicated to me. Despite the unexpected switch, the interview went well. What’s unacceptable is the complete lack of follow-up. It has now been weeks with no response, no update, no rejection email — nothing. After spending time preparing, traveling to their office, and interviewing in person, the fact that they couldn’t send a basic courtesy email shows a serious lack of professionalism and respect for candidates.
I applied online. I interviewed at FirstService Residential (Winter Garden, FL)
Interview
Brief phone call followed by in-person interview. Manager really just wants to make sure you’re competent. Questions involve how you deal with difficult customers as the position is very customer-service based. Best if you have a background in hospitality.

Question 1
How would you handle a homeowner who came into the office angrily and complaining about something like the landscaping provider.
