I interviewed at Fort Hays State University (Hays, KS)
Interview
Casual and informal. More of a conversation than an interview. Very nice but not very professional. Asked about schedule and other commitments. They were not concerned about summer availability. They wanted someone who was available to work 10 hours per week.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Fort Hays State University (Hays, KS) in Oct 2023
Interview
It was a three part interview process comprised of two panel interviews and a one-on-one session. I was asked the same questions multiple times within the first two interview sessions. I was also asked ALOT of behavioral based interview questions repeatedly. The attitudes of those who interviewed me were cold and uninviting. When the opportunity arose for me to ask questions, the answers given were subpar and passive which was not reassuring or informative. I would not recommend seeking employment with the university based upon my interview experience and opinion.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Some of the questions I was asked included:
What is a personal weakness you have?
What is a personal strength you possess?
Tell me about a time you had a stressful situation at work. How did you handle it?
If you could be a Harry Potter character, who would it be and why?
If you could be a flower which one would you be and why?
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fort Hays State University (Hays, KS) in Jan 2020
Interview
The professors who helped to conduct my interview were engaging and eager to understand how my skills and education would be an asset to the university. The process seemed to move rather quickly, but their confidence in me never seemed in doubt.
