      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Frito-Lay (New York, NY) in Oct 2022

      Interview

After applying for a couple jobs this location I was scheduled immediately for two entry level interviews The first one I felt went very well and then was not offered the position was informed by email which is fine. The second interview I learned that I am talking to a person that is going to write up a review opinion report whatever you want to call it and send it to a team of people that I didn't get to physically interview with or meet to determine my hiring status I'm sure why I'm not interviewing with "hiring team". Common sense leads me to believe that I would be doing a video interview with the site manager / HR hiring team whomever instead of a person who every 45 minutes has another interview to conduct at a different facility or whatever sends a report opinion regarding me to them basically like just reading a resume what's the point of this middle man situation how do you know if you want to hire someone or if you think they're going to be a good fit for your facility without meeting them isn't that the whole point of an interview otherwise they could just read my resume and move on The second time I was not informed by email that I was not selected on the website I found out that my application said not selected I logged on because it took a couple days and I didn't receive an email regarding my interview the first interview I found out the next day via email the second interview nothing. Also I was very excited while doing the assessment online and then receiving an email that I met the minimum requirements and to schedule an interview and during both interviews I was super excited to work for this company and express that still am and I thought I went very well and I don't know what else I could have done or said or why during the interview I felt like they were informing me of information that I would need to know if hired which made me think they were considering me at least I was very optimistic it's an entry-level job completely capable of doing it and like I said information that I would only need to know if I was going forward I don't know it's just was a very strange thing to find out that they're doing an assessment on me to send to another team I know I already said that but it's still blows my mind I worked in human resources years ago and also have had interviews in my life and have never not met with whomever was going to be My manager supervisor or individual who worked on at that site. So a extra step that's not needed to write up something on me it's basically just like my cover letter or resume but from a stranger. That's sent to other people to read about me according to that person's opinion instead of just meeting with me video interview themselves just so strange just so strange.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

In the past Have you ever suggested or an example of initiating a safety protocol. In your past experience have you ever had an issue with your manager and confronted them. In the past give me an example of a problem you faced on the job and tell me how you solved it. Describe to the time you dealt with a difficult colleague and what did you do Tell me about a time you made a mistake or experienced failure and how you dealt with it sometimes even answering these questions appropriately past job experience maybe completely different from the job you're applying for but the answer is can still apply but if the person that I'm speaking with has no idea of the industry I came from then I just sound like I'm talking a different language because some of these questions I was able to answer perfectly honestly but it was a completely different industry that I work for prior even though the answers applied to her questions it didn't seem like she understood what I was talking about

      Interview

Very nice but asked too many specific questions. Could have gone better but they lacked preparation. Maybe next time I can bring my own set of questions. Thankfully I was able to get out of there quickly.
