Was contacted quickly after applying and was more than qualified for the role. Spoke with recruiter who asked some basic questions to start. She then pressed me fairly hard on my prior income and absolutely refused to share the targeted range for the role we were discussing. It transitioned to her asking my bottom dollar to see if it fit in their range. It was quite frankly so off putting. She was hunting for a candidate on primarily cost and not on the best fit or capable. This tactic had validated all I had read and heard from former employees about Generac being cheap and having a toxic culture ...if that's how they go about talent acquisition, makes sense why turnover is so high over there.
