When I arrived at the interview, I found just a phone and a list of employee names and extensions in the foyer. Oddly, the CTO's name was not on the list (she's the one who invited me), so I just called someone on the list and asked for her. After about 20 minutes of waiting, someone finally came and took me to the conference room.
Four engineers came in and did a group interview. The manager asked why I even bothered applying since the job is mostly analog and very little digital. This was news to me. The job description indicated it involves at least as much digital as analog. My strength is in digital (although I have some background in analog), so it felt like an ambush. It left me wondering why I was even invited if I was so unqualified. The other engineers were cool, but that guy was quite rude. It's probably best I'm not working under him.
The CTO was supposed to meet with me, but she blew me off. If someone had just come out, given me the middle finger, and told me to go home, it would have saved me some time and been slightly less insulting.
