1st stage: face to face interview, i had the sales manager and sales director interviewing me. Easy interview, about my background, my knowledge of the company and the BI product they sell. My past experience. The role was for their travel and tourism industry. 2nd stage: Phone role play, sell their product to a hotel chain e.g. hilton hotels, its a cold call so you need to ask the right questions to get an understanding of the clients current situation and see if there is a way you can help them fill the gap in their needs and try closing the call by booking in a demo with them. After this role-play i was told i did well but i was not chosen as apparently i lacked passion and enthusiasm for the role which is completely false. I was told throughout the process that they're looking for someone they can mould into the perfect sales person and will offer them full professional training. I found it unfair that i was ruled out based on a phone role-play call as in the end they told the recruiter they're looking for someone with more experience rather than train raw talent. You cannot say you want to mould someone with previous sales experience and give them full training on how to sell their product on the phone to then contradict yourself.

Short interview. Basic questions about CV and interests. A large part of the interview was talking about ales and the products and services that the company sells. Very focused on sales. Researching the company will be extremely helpful.
