I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at GlowByte (Moscow, Moskva) in Aug 2022
Interview
They agreed with me about the interview time. And then they cancelled it one and half hour before the interview itself. We scheduled it in advance. They had time to plan their resources and warn me at least the day before or even earlier. They showed little respect to my time. I don't know whether it's a common situation or most companies respect candidates' time and plan or change any arrangements a sufficient amount of time before the appointed event in absolutely most cases.

Question 1
I didn't have an interview. But I'd like to mention that I had no work experience. I was willing to find a data analyst or machine learning job position. I didn't involve SQL in my resume. Nevertheless, they decided to invite me to the interview on SQL. They sent me preparation websites/books with database concepts, ER-diagrams, basics of SQL, exercises to train on, normalization and its forms, analytical functions. I was preparing for two weeks and then they declined right before the interview not giving any chance to present myself.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at GlowByte (Moscow, Moskva) in Jun 2017

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GlowByte (Moscow, Moskva) in Nov 2015
Interview
I got a call from the HR manager and we discussed my experience and other issues by phone for 30 minutes. Then I received an invitation for the first interview. It was a very long meeting - more than 3 hours. We discussed my projects, clients, the difficulties that I encountered. Also, not a small part of the interview was taken up by logical tasks and business cases from potential projects. After the meeting, I was offered to do a small homework - according to the submitted system requirements, prepare a project plan with a budget estimate, as well as assess key risks.
It looked like an interesting task and gave me the opportunity to really think about my decision to change career paths.
Another participant was invited to the second interview and we discussed the results of my homework half the time.
Next was the negotiation process and I got an offer
