I applied through Indeed.com and was given an invitation to speak to Kris McMenamin for a phone screen.
We spoke on the Phone for about 15 minutes and he outlined the position and we spoke about my experience. He then invited me to an in person interview the following Monday. I made arrangements and took time off from my current position to attend.
Monday morning, the same day of my in person interview I receive an email from Kris:
“I apologize, however at this time I can not meet this afternoon with the end of quarter occurring I have a POC that I need to speak with directly, and then was the only available time. I will reach out to reschedule later in the week.”
I followed up that Thursday as he did not reach out, and he did not reply. I followed up again the next week and still have not received a reply.
Generally, It’s in bad form to cancel an interview the day of as people make arrangements to take time off, also if the position is no longer available some sort of transparency would be appreciated.
