    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GoodLife Fitness (Burnaby, BC (Canada)) in September 2017.

    Interview

Phone interview, another phone interview, then final interview with manager. The hiring manager was very nice and like my answers to most questions. I did not get an offer because they had a hiring event and the manager hired 3 others. They asked for 3 muscles in the back and legs, how would you explain a squat. A time you went above and beyond for someone. and other typical questions, wasnt too hard overall. be ready to say that you know this job does not provide work life balance.

    Personal Trainer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Mississauga, ON (Canada)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at GoodLife Fitness (Mississauga, ON (Canada)) in July 2017.

    Interview

I applied online got a call from a recruiter went to that location for the interview. She asked me to choose 3 cards from a deck of statements and describe why I valued them then she asked me why I want to be a PT afterwards. She also quizzed me on muscles of the body and sent me an email for the 2nd interview which was at a different location. I had to complete an 8 week program for an elderly woman with osteoporosis like really they had to pick the MOST restricting client. I also had to share 4 ways I'd generate clients and fill out an availability sheet for scheduling hours. I handed those to her yet she asks me about a totally different client scenario when I'm there followed by showing me how to use a leg extension vice versa I showed her my version lastly demonstrate a squat. She was nice but kept criticizing everything I did even though I've been weight training for years. By the end I asked my question's but she mostly talked about her own certifications also don't like how they try and encourage you to spend money for their course which is just a scam. But she tells me she is moving and will get in touch when she returns it has been past that day now and I haven't heard back so I will be going solo when I earn my certification
