I applied online. I interviewed at Google (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
I had one round, which was a phone call, and was not asked about my background a whole lot it was more giving me scenarios if I was in the role and what I would do.

Question 1
They gave me a hypothetical on what to do if a campaign wasn't tracking well and what to tell the client.
I was contacted by a recruiter for the role. My experience is in marketing, and the role was supposed to be around that as well. In reality, after the screening and the 1st round of interviews (case studies and other questions), I realised the role was primarily sales.

Question 1
How would I approach a customer service case (they gave an example of a small business that was dealing with Google Ads)? How would I handle it, structure my work, and what would I recommend?
2 rounds 3 interviews, average interviews however there’s a lot of hypothetical questions they ask so be prepared for that. Most typical interview questions I prepared for weren’t asked aside from why sales

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you taught someone else something new
Phone screening asking me about sales experience and cold calling experience. Interview questions in screening "Tell me about a time when you worked on a team that XYZ, etc." Fast paced and a series of questions rather than a back and forth conversation.
