I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Google
Interview
The interview began with an HR asking about my previous work and the usual stuff.
The second part of the interview surprised me.
The HR showed some contrived code and asked me for the output that will be generated!
I got it wrong. As it turned out, it was an obscure version of bubble sort!
It seemed like a 12th standard organic chemistry named reaction rote memorization check to me.
Expected better from google.
I applied online. I interviewed at Google (London, England)
Interview
I received a screening call where they asked about my experience, as I had applied for both an SRE position and an agent role. The conversation felt casual at first, but it turned out to be a formal evaluation. I was not selected in the end. If you are interviewing here, be aware that the screening call is more serious than it may seem, treat it as a real interview from the start.
The interview was comprised of 5 smaller technical interviews, one with each person, one each focusing on a different topic. Topics include Graph Navigation, stacks, queues, basic system design and debugging.
