I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google
Interview
Just like a typical Google interview, the process typically begins with a self-introduction, followed by the interviewer describing the question or scenario. Finally, you have the opportunity to ask questions about the job or the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Find all cycles in a directed graph without repetition.
Invited directly to on-site in Mountain View due to strong referral.
Interviews were extremely hard questions, over my experience and knowledge. Interviewers seemed quite boring individuals to work with. Questions can range from system design to sorting algorithms.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Taipei) in Mar 2025
Interview
Very standard Google interview. First round recruiter to outline and chat, 3 rounds of technicals, then a final hiring committee round.
Unfortunately I didn't make it past the last round, and be wary there is a 1-year cooldown period before you can attempt again.
The technical rounds themselves weren't particularly hard if you are competent.
