I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Graftek Imaging (Austin, TX) in Dec 2020
Interview
It's a long interview, in which the first one you talk to the CFO or upper management, which leads to a final technical interview where they ask you about your background, technical knowledge, and they give you a set of questions to answer. They tell you they expect you to learn on the job as it is a niche industry in which everyone must go through training and learn what it is they do but they then go ahead and expect a lot out of you during the final interview. They ask you stuff about their products, and specifically how it would be used. They ask you how to do your job before you even get training for your job. Oh, and they make the interview a certain date, give you the interview questions, then cancel the questions and tell you that you will get new questions, then make you research and look into every single question, in which every question requires a lot of time to answer. Not only do you have to answer the questions, you have to present it in a powerpoint. It wasn't so bad, but the fact that they make you prepare an entire presentation with two days and do an entire project is just insane, all for a "chance" to work at the company.
