A recruiter from Hach reached out through LinkedIn and invited me to apply to a local position. The recruiter was efficient, professional, and respectful. The job description was interesting, contained a salary range, and matched my experience. I was set up with a introductory interview with the hiring manager, who was also efficient, professional, and welcoming.
This hiring manager interview was short, but relevant to the engineering position. Candidates should remember that 30-45 minutes goes by very fast. Highlight your experience relevant to the position, and be prepared to describe certain tasks in moderate detail. In my interview process, there were no nonsense behavioral questions from the 2010s, ie "What would you do if...?" Questions were relevant to the position, and my past experience. If a task or experience is in the job description or on your resume, be prepared to discuss it.
The team needed specific experience I did not have, and I was not invited to an additional round. However, I was given positive feedback and encouraged to reach out in the future. This interview process made a positive impression in comparison to other interview experiences I have had in the past.
