I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Halliburton (Casper, WY) in Nov 2013
Interview
I was recruited through university recruiting. Made it through the first round of interviews, and then went up to Casper, WY a few weeks later for a 2nd interview. First interview was relatively easy behavioral questions. Second interview was about the same, except the interviewers were trying to intimidate everyone.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Only difficult part was the fact that when everyone arrived, we were supposed to be given a presentation etc. but went straight into interviewing. That left most people unprepared.
Easy comin
In comparison to my peers, who often rely on memory, I follow a structured list for every step of our operations, ensuring that everything is filled out correctly and that each step logically leads to the next. This meticulous approach has been beneficial in maintaining the quality and consistency of our work, and I am confident that it will continue to contribute positively in a single MWD role.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Halliburton (Caracas, Capital District) in Feb 2021
Interview
Process included a technical phone screen (drilling concepts, tool knowledge), followed by a panel interview with field scenarios and safety questions. Practical problem-solving and teamwork focus. Delays in scheduling, but interviewers were supportive and industry-experienced.
