    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HarperCollins UK.

    Interview

Some questions followed by the explanation of the job. Met directly the head of the department I applied into, to discuss the role and my personality. It was quite brief, was asked mostly about what I did previously and what I see myself doing in the future. Nothing especially out of the blue

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HarperCollins UK (London, England (UK)) in December 2015.

    Interview

I had to complete the Editorial Assistant test. This involved reading a chapter of a book sent to me, writing a blurb, coming up with sample titles, explaining how I believed the book would perform and what Harlequin title it would work best under. I completed the task well and got through to the next stage which was a one-to-one interview, however, they read my available time to commence working wrong, and needed someone to start sooner than i was able to. It was such a shame it did not work out.

    Interview

I was really disappointed in the way that I was treated throughout the interview process. I was given just a few days notice of an interview taking place before Christmas which I dropped everything to attend. I was on the shortlist of just a few candidates who were interviewed. It took them over a month to get back to me to tell me that I had been unsuccessful, with just a sentence of feedback and nothing constructive at all. This was the second interview that I had attended at HarperCollins. The first time that I applied for a job with HarperCollins, I was not told that I had been unsuccessful until after the successful candidate had actually started working there because they forgot to inform me. There doesn't seem to be a lot of respect for prospective employees.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HarperCollins UK (London, England (UK)) in May 2011.

    Interview

The interview was very much focused on the industry and the company itself: what one thing would you do as CEO of the company? Why interested in this particular publishing house? What are its strengths? etc
