I didn't actually apply. They reached out to me and set up a phone interview. About a month later, I got an email from a 3rd party, letting me know that: We are reaching out to you regarding the status of your candidacy at Havenly. They let us know that although you may not be the right fit for the open position right now, they are confident that you will make a great impact at your next job. In fact, they want to help you find your next role. Havenly has partnered with BetterCompany to connect you with other great companies that have similar job openings to the one you applied for at Havenly. The BetterCompany Exchange is free for you and it'll only take you a minute to sign up.
Instead of reaching out to me themselves to tell me I was no longer a candidate, they had their 3rd party partner reach out to me and try to get me to sign up for their services. It was rude and shady. Please don't try to get my on your partner network by having a 3rd party send me a rejection note. I have no idea how anybody thought this would be a good idea.
