Interview
I had a phone interview. At the end of the interview, the recruiter let me know that the hiring manager was away at a conference and it would be a couple of days until a decision was made about next steps. A week went by and I did not receive an update. I sent an email to the recuiter, no response. I sent another follow up email 5 days later and no response

Interview
I recently went through the interview process at Hayden AI, and unfortunately, the overall recruiting experience was quite disappointing.
Communication from the recruiting team was inconsistent, with responses taking weeks at times or not coming at all. There didn’t seem to be a clear or structured interview process, and when I asked questions, recruiters often appeared unsure about the steps or timelines. This lack of clarity and responsiveness made the process frustrating and difficult to navigate.
I believe that timely communication and a well-defined process are basic expectations, and even a simple acknowledgment or update would have gone a long way.
That said, my interactions with the engineering team were positive—they were professional, knowledgeable, and great to speak with.
Overall, while the technical team left a good impression, the recruiting experience needs significant improvement.
The interview felt well-structured and engaging. I had the opportunity to share my experience and learn more about the role. The team was professional, and the conversation gave me a clear understanding of expectations and next steps.
