      Lead Android Developer Interview

      Dec 6, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Paris
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Heetch (Paris) in Jun 2016

      Interview

The whole process took less than 4 weeks. - interview with the CTO : questions about my experience, hobbies, etc. Quite casual, just to see if we get along or not - technical test : private github repo with an exercise description. - team interview : had a call with the other mobile devs. At this point, they had a pretty good idea of my skills and the conversation was mostly about my favourite frameworks/methodologies. The other languages I had played with. What I thought about Kotlin, my vision of the role of lead dev, etc. - discovery day : I came to the office for a full day to meet a few key people IRL. This is part of the process, but at this point, I already knew I wanted to join. And that was done

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I've been given a test that was basically about showing a list of drivers on a map, updating positions, calculating closest driver based on the user position, etc. Very basic thing. Had 2 or 3 days to do it. I've seen other people here saying that they basically wanted you to work for free and never hire you, which is ridiculous. This is a typical hiring exercise, designed to measure your various skills. They threw my work away as soon as I passed that step.
