Face to face interview with 3 people including owner. You are not a CEO unless you have a board of directors; I don't know why people call themselves that.
Anyway, I didn't get an offer because I was out of their range. The first thing they ask is how much I am expecting so I told them my last job was 90k.
After the interview I get an email asking again so I tell them and they reply they can't offer that much. Then I ask how much are they paying for that position and they give me the runaround saying significantly lower. If they are looking for entry level they should mention that at the beginning and specify how much.
I am guessing they were going for ~60k? Either way they shouldn't interview people with 5 years of experience and go look in schools if they want to pay that little. So that salary listed here for 110k is probably bullsht if they're crying for 90k.
Make sure you clarify how much compensation you are expecting before you waste 2-3 hours interviewing.
Yeah I heard about the scuba diving crap which happened once and is irrelevant. We work for pay not for favors. oh, also 2 week paid vacation is sht. That's 10 days only, no sick days mentioned and everyone offers medical and dental. We are engineers with a couple of degrees not unskilled workers; I don't see how these benefits are even considered decent.
