I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hitachi Vantara (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Straightforward interview process. 2 rounds.
First round is on-campus.
- Friendly and Casual interview
- General questions about experience
- Interview just wants to get to know you, it seems like they are looking for a good fit instead of focusing questions on technical skills.
Second round is on-site.
- there were about 6 students on site, for the morning session and another 6 in the afternoon
- 3 45-minute interviews: technical, critical thinking, fit
- Very nice people
- they take you out to lunch after
Pretty basic process.
They just did a couple of questions along 3 interviews.
One with a talent recruiter.
Another more technical.
A last one that was behavioral.
The process took around 1 week.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hitachi Vantara (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2023
Interview
The case study was challenging but fair. Lots of good questions but straightforward. Good rapport with everyone in the room which was nice to see compared to others. I would recommend.
A Phone screening by the recruiter followed by three to five video interviews with prospective bosses and teammates. The level of seniority in interviewers progressed as the interviews went on. Finally, I had a call with the recruiter telling me the results. The team enjoyed, but the company recently went on a hiring freeze.
