I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (College Station, TX) in Aug 2011
Interview
The whole process was pretty relaxed and not intimidating. It seemed like they were already planning on hiring me even before my interview and that the one-on-one part was just a formality. There were two other people interviewing at the same time, and all three of us were hired. The math test was pretty tough without a calculator, but still just simple math. They called me when they said they would, two days later, and asked "when can you start?". Simple, quick, and painless.
I applied online. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Pensacola, FL)
Interview
Extremely easy. Was during seasonal so management let pretty much anybody in. Had to take a quick test, which was easy enough. The woman who interviewed me was very personable during the process.
It was very smooth process. They asked me 4 or 5 questions and then let me ask questions. They gave me a tour of the store and introduced me to the other people working there.
The interview process was swift and easygoing. The managers had great personalities and were easy to communicate with. They made you feel at home before you even started the interview.
