I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Lone Tree, CO) in Apr 2008
Interview
I was recruited by an employee of the store during my visit. I filled out an application on the computer they have in-store and was contacted a few days after to schedule an interview. The interview was a group/panel interview, which is the same format (and interview questions, more or less) for Abercrombie. It's an advantage to go first in the group interview so you don't have to repeat somebody else's answer - when you're the 10th or so person to answer the same question, it can be difficult to generate an unheard response.
It was very easy. they asked you about your retail experience and asked behavior questions that were very easy to answer. So I thought it was straight forward in my humble opinion
Apply online and invited to group interview with approx. 5 other people. The interview is in a casual environment e.g. in the shopfloor, interviewer was welcoming and easy to get along with
