I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Human Rights Watch (San Francisco, CA) in May 2015
Interview
Wasn't that bad. I had an interview at the office, and it was mostly a lot of behavioral questions: what I was expecting for the job, what I thought I could bring, any weaknesses I had, etc. At the end though, there was an on-site "test" of sorts where I had to draft an email and a mini bio on a possible donor. If anything, I wish that they'd give internships for undergrads to help with research rather than just host events.
