Short screening interview with the Director - Tableau test on a separate day - shortlisted candidates invited for a virtual interview. They took more than three weeks to give their verdict and went back on their word twice to deliver their decision by a certain date.

Tell us about yourself, what attracted you to this position and how your education and experience fit with the job description.
Describe a project that you worked on that involved data visualization. What was the purpose of the project? What tools and software did you use? How did visualization improve the project and its outcomes?
Scenario: You have been working with a team that is evaluating the effectiveness of an intervention to improve student graduation rates. Now that the intervention is over and the data has been analyzed, you have been asked to put together an executive summary of the key project findings to be shared with project stakeholders and institutional decision-makers. How will you approach development of this executive summary of findings?
One of the department’s priorities is organizational data literacy – defined as the ability of an organization to locate, read, analyze, use, and communicate data throughout the organization. How do you see Data Visualization and Analytics Specialist contributing to this work?
Describe your experience using Excel, SPSS, R, Access, Tableau, Power BI (also SAS?). What have you used these tools for? How would you rate your level of competency in each of these?
