    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IWHC.

    Interview

I underwent an initial phone interview, then met in-person with two staff members. They clearly want to see commitment to mission, and ask several applied scenario-type questions to test whether you have the skills to do the job. I found the in-person interview to be a bit uncomfortable-- while the questions were reasonable, the interaction felt more like an oral exam than it did a conversation.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IWHC in March 2015.

    Interview

I had three interviews over a course of around 3.5 weeks. The first interview was with the direct supervisor and the second two were with the supervisor and the president. The interview involved many questions about my background and how I would handle certain situations. They seemed very interested in finding the right match both skill and personality wise. The process was quick; My references were checked quickly after the third interview and I was offered the position shortly after.

    Interview Questions

    • The questions were typical about my background but also presented certain scenarios and asked how I would handle them. I was given a case study to discuss at one of the interviews.   Answer Question
