I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ikarus 3D (Mohali, Punjab) in Mar 2025
Interview
Interview Process Overview:
Application Submission:
I applied via email after finding the opportunity on LinkedIn. I shared my resume, portfolio link, and a short cover letter describing my background in 3D modeling.
Initial HR Screening:
Within a few days, I received a response from the HR team. The first round was a casual conversation to confirm basic information—availability, expected salary, system specifications (as they require artists to use their own hardware), and notice period.
Test Task:
I was assigned a modeling test. The brief was minimal—just a reference image with no detailed guidelines on polycount, file format, or whether texturing was expected. I had to clarify requirements over email. The deadline was tight (24–48 hours). I completed the model using ZBrush and Maya, and rendered basic turntables for review.
Technical Review (Optional Stage):
In some cases, candidates are called in for a brief technical discussion after the test submission, focusing on software proficiency, workflow, and familiarity with modeling pipelines. In my case, this round was skipped and feedback was shared via email.
Final Decision:
The final decision took about a week. Communication was polite but not very detailed regarding results or areas of improvement.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Ikarus 3D (Mohali, Punjab) in Mar 2025
Interview
We were informed that the round would be an online test, but instead, we had a peer assignment where we had to create a 3D website. This unexpected change required creative and technical skills.
The firm's owner personally conducted the interview, making the process smooth and easy. The conversation flowed well, covering various topics comfortably. Despite its ease, the interview lasted over 45 minutes, indicating a thorough discussion. The experience was positive, leaving a good impression of the company's leadership and approach.
